U.K. Service

Get your U.K. company banked

A U.K. company without an account cannot trade. We prepare and guide applications to the providers that actually onboard non-resident directors — and tell you honestly which ones will not.

Overview

U.K. business banking splits cleanly in two. High-street banks generally want a U.K.-resident director and often an in-branch appointment, which rules most international founders out. Digital providers — Tide, Wise, Revolut Business, Payoneer — onboard remotely and are where nearly all our clients end up. The work is in matching you to the right one and submitting an application that answers the questions before they are asked: what the company does, where its customers are, what money will move through it. A vague application gets declined, and a decline is recorded, which makes the next one harder. We would rather spend an hour getting the first one right.

How It Works

Simple, from start to finish

01

Match the provider

We assess your residency, business model and expected volumes, then shortlist the providers most likely to accept you.

02

Prepare the application

Documents are assembled and your business activity described the way providers expect to read it.

03

Apply and follow through

You submit a complete application. If the provider comes back with questions, we help you answer them.

Questions

Good to know

Can I open a U.K. business account as a non-resident?

With digital providers, usually yes. With traditional high-street banks, usually no — most require a U.K.-resident director and an in-branch appointment. We focus on the providers that genuinely onboard founders abroad rather than wasting your time on ones that will not.

Do you guarantee approval?

No, and treat any guarantee in this industry as a warning sign. Providers apply their own risk criteria based on your country of residence, industry and business model. We materially improve the odds by getting the application right; we do not control the decision.

Which provider is best?

It depends on what you do. Tide suits U.K.-focused trading, Wise suits multi-currency and international invoicing, Revolut Business suits spend management, Payoneer suits marketplace sellers. We recommend based on your business, not on which pays a referral.

How long does it take?

Digital providers often decide within a few working days once the application is complete. Delays almost always come from missing documents or unclear answers about business activity, which is what the preparation is for.

What if I am declined?

We review the likely reason and prepare an application to a second provider. Declines are common for non-residents in certain industries and are rarely the end of the road — but each one is recorded, which is why the first attempt matters.

Can I use Stripe with a U.K. company?

Yes. A U.K. limited company with a registered address and a business account meets Stripe’s structural requirements, and we guide the setup. Approval and continued standing are Stripe’s decision, and some business categories are restricted regardless of entity.
